1st ANNUAL GERMANTOWN POETRY FESTIVAL

Poetic Justice: LIVE from Germantown Avenue
@ Market Square
Germantown Ave. between Schoolhouse & Church Lanes
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

The poetry reading meets the block party when Germantown celebrates National Poetry Month on Saturday, April 21, 2007, in historic Market Square on Germantown Avenue.  School yourself in a morning workshop led by a guest poet.  Park your chair in the Square to hear Germantown's youth artists set it off in outdoor festival performances.  Catch poetry all-stars Ursula Rucker, Douglas Kearney & the Twin Poets in a main-stage cipher just before noon.  Get lifted by a special slam showcase featuring poets from Germantown Friends & Germantown High Schools.  Hear the sounds of Germantown when local poets rock the open mic to close the day.  Then go home and write some poems . . .
