Morning Workshops: 9:30am - 11am

Expand your literary horizons.  Tap into a community of poets, emerging and established, young and old.  Create on-the-spot poems in historic venues.  In Germantown Poetry Festival workshops, guest poets will share their expertise through unique approaches to writing, reading, and performing poetry.  Workshops will be held at locations neighboring the Square, including the Germantown Historical Society, Friends Free Library( under academics), Grumblethorpe, and Germantown Friends School.  Stay tuned to our website for workshop descriptions.  Registration will begin Monday, April 2nd.

Open Mic: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Live or work in Germantown?  Sign-up to spit a poem in the open mic reading that will close the festival.  Three minutes to share; no profanity.  Email your name, address, phone number, and a sample poem to germantownpoetryfestival@gmail.com.  Deadline for open mic sign-up is Tuesday, April 10th.
