Isolation- Bismuth is not normaly need to be made it normally is found as bismite, bismuthinite and bismutite. Bismuth is usally made as a byproduct of copper, lead, tin, silver, gold and zinc plants. The last step is reducing the amount of oxide by charcoal.
Uses: Cosmetics, medicine fire estiguisher used to make malleable irons, as a catalyst for making acrylic fibres, used to carry uranium fuel in nuclear reactors
