Not much is known about scandium toxic ness or radioactivity so it is handled with care.
ISOLATION METHOD

scandium is minined from uranium ore prosessing.

HISTORY

scandium was discovered by Lars Nilsson in 1879. in scandinavia. he and his co workers were searching for rare earth metals by processing 10 kg of euxenite and other rare earth minerals lars Nilson prepared around 2 g of scandium oxide.

USES

scandium is used in making mercury vapor lights.

it is also used in small quantities in many different objects like some lacrosse sticks or bike frames.

it is also used in making high intensity light bulbs
