As an extension of their rhythm, repetition and variation designs, 8th graders redraw a portion of their original piece in Adobe Photoshop CS and then using the computer they quadruplicate, rotate and reassemble the original drawing into a new design. The computer allows the students to experiment quickly with various manipulations of the original piece while learning basic photoshop skills.
