Students in the eighth grade draw or paint a composed still life. Working together student and teacher select the best composition. After completing an original drawing using techniques of measured proportion, students redraw the object onto good paper using a light lamp. During the project students explore blending color, painting technique, consistent light source, believable shadows as well as color scheme.
